About BitcoinValues

BitcoinValues is a crypto newsroom built around data. We report what happens in crypto markets and decentralised finance, and we read each story against the numbers that show whether it matters: how much value a protocol holds, what its users pay it, and how prices and flows are moving.

What you will find here

  • News on markets, DeFi, Bitcoin and policy. When an article names a protocol or coin we track, the name links to its data page and the figures appear under the story.
  • DeFi rankings: the largest protocols by total value locked, with 7- and 30-day flows, 24-hour fees and how much each earns per dollar deposited.
  • Coin prices by market capitalisation, with 30-day charts, and baskets such as AI coins, meme coins and real-world asset tokens.
  • Sectors and chains: where DeFi activity is concentrated and where it is moving.
  • Market signals: the day’s largest inflows and outflows, top fee earners and sector momentum, computed directly from the data.

Where the numbers come from

Protocol data (value locked, fees, categories, chains) comes from DefiLlama; prices, market capitalisations and token categories come from CoinGecko. We collect them into our own database several times a day, keep the history, and compute the rankings, changes and signals ourselves. The methodology page explains every figure and its limits.

What we are not

We do not give investment advice, and nothing on this site is a recommendation to buy or sell anything. Our rankings describe the size and activity of protocols; they are not ratings of their safety. How we report, source and correct stories is set out in our editorial policy.
